Water Level
These images document and interpret
the structures built to control our relationship with water: barrages,
locks, dams and bridges. Some are taken at dusk, by artificial
light when I believe these structures take on a life and presence
of their own.
The water takes on a different quality at dusk,
a smooth power capable of overwhelming anything man can construct.
The images are taken on a 5x4 field camera with
a panoramic roll film back.
